We use a Professional Shampoo Machine that sprays cleaning agent into the fabric of which is then scrubbed by hand to loosen the soiling. Once the soiling has been loosened the upholstery is passed over by the extraction head that draws up the soiling. Multiple passes are often required for heavy soiling - but it's worth spending the time to get it right.
